Noxious Weed Removal

When it comes to plants and weeds, definitions may vary from person to person. However, some plants are invasive and should always be regarded as weeds, and broadly speaking, as pests. The Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board lists noxious weeds that should be dealt with so that native plants and wildlife can have a chance. We use mechanical and cultural pest control methods to eliminate plants such as Scotch Broom, Poison Hemlock, Holly, and more.

How It Works

Noxious weeds pose a threat to native vegetation, and thusly contribute to the decline of habitat. In some cases, such as with Poison Hemlock, these weeds can be quite hazardous to people and pets alike because of their sap. The removal of these plants can be dangerous, or at the least, labor intensive, so it is recommended to leave the work to specialists who know the proper methods and timing to remove the plants safely. We don't use herbicides on these plants because it is largely unnecessary. Physical removal is also the best way to keep their population in check.
