Structural Pest Inspections

For the purchase, sale or refinancing of a home, it is always advisable or, in some cases, required to have it inspected for Wood Destroying Organisms (WDOs). Not all general home inspectors are licensed to conduct inspections for WDOs, and certainly won't have the experience to develop treatment plans or conduct actual treatments. We conduct these inspections with an entomological background, so we know the signs of wood damaging organisms, can advise on treatments, then mitigate the issue all at the same time.

How It Works

During the purchase, refinancing or sale of a home, it may prove beneficial or be required to have it checked for WDOs (Wood Destroying Organisms. It is never a bad idea to have it inspected regularly as part of a routine assurance that the wood in your home is sound. In the Pacific Northwest, there are a number of organisms that are prone to infesting the structural timbers and can silently feed on the wood keeping your house together and upright. From fungus to termites and beetles, some are of greater concern than others and will involve special treatments and repair work to ensure that further damage does not occur.

We offer inspections to help you identify issues that can accumulate into serious problems over time.
